Infosys Foundation USA is excited to announce the launch of the Infy Maker Awards 2019! Since 2015, the Infy Maker Awards have created opportunities for students in more than 70 communities across the U.S. to engage in making in ways that foster their interests in STEM, design and the arts, cultivate entrepreneurial experiences and facilitate community-based problem solving. Our most recent cohort of Infy Maker Awards winners represented 10 different states and included libraries, museums, makerspaces, and educational non-profits focused on broadening access to maker-centered learning experiences to students in their communities.
If you are a school, college, library, museum, makerspace, youth serving organization or other non-profit institution focused on expanding access to maker-centered learning for K-12 students in the U.S., we encourage you to apply online. Applications will be open from January 8, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. to February 21, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Ten winning organizations will each receive $10,000 grants. This funding is flexible and can be used for a variety of purposes including: materials and equipment, structural improvements, additional professional development, projects for students, impact and assessment research or community outreach and engagement. Winners will also receive support for two staff members to attend CrossRoads, Infosys Foundation USA’s annual computer science and maker education conference and support to participate in maker education professional development at Pathfinders Summer Institute if these two events are hosted by the Foundation in 2019.
