Health and Hygieneawareness Program

India@75 is an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and the organizers behind the fifth edition of National Volunteering Week (NVW). This is held in January of each year. The annual initiative calls on individuals to contribute their time and skill towards making a difference in the lives of less-fortunate citizens and begin a revolution driven by the ethos of selfless service.

Taking forward the initiative of CII, the academic track of Sanjeevani, Vijnana, conducted an awareness session on Health and Hygiene in January 2018. The session was held at Prathibha Poshini, an NGO in Trivandrum, Kerala that supports bright students from underprivileged backgrounds. The event was attended by 52 students.

Volunteers organized two half-hour sessions on health, hygiene, and personal wellness. Later, they demonstrated the right technique of washing hands to reduce the risk of illness and infections. At the end of the session, each student received a hygiene kit that included soaps, sanitizer, and timetable card.
