On the weekend of April 12th, Infosys Foundation USA, in partnership with Miami Ed Tech, hosted the first annual "Infento Build-a-Thon" and "Riders Hack-a-Thon" at the Infosys Indianapolis Technology and Innovation Center. This initiative will provide hands-on STEM and computer science education to over 300 middle and high school students across the state of Indiana. Students and educators from the Indianapolis area were welcomed into the Indianapolis office for a weekend of building, hacking, working with modular electric vehicle kits, and coding to create virtual robots. While this program has thrived in Miami, FL, where it originated, we were thrilled to bring it to Indiana and reach even more students through the support of dedicated Infosys volunteers who served as judges.
Indianapolis Infoscions Jerron Perry, Gopinath P., Stephen McFarland, Ajit Kumar Panigrahi and Kiruthika Kumarasamy provided students with constructive criticism and advice on improving their electric vehicles. The winning students have been invited to demonstrate their vehicles at Infosys Foundation USA’s CrossRoads 2025 conference, where 200 educators and thought leaders will gather in Indianapolis in early May.
