The China Development Centre launched the ‘Joy of Giving’ initiative and donated computers to children in remote mountainous regions of China. This initiative was launched after an office in the country was refurbished and a large number of computers we made available for reuse.
Needy schools were located, an exhaustive background check was conducted, and 200 computers were donated to 11 needy schools, in 2018.
This effort received tremendous response from volunteers of Infosys, China and the Country Head, Simon Li. The gesture received significant appreciation from the recipient schools and local media.
