Explore Physical Computing with Design, build and code a rover with Raspberry Pi Pico

September 16, 2021

To close out our Back to School celebration, we’ve teamed up with Raspberry Pi for another exciting no-cost course for teachers. Design, build and code a rover with Raspberry Pi Pico will support educators in grades 4-8 with everything they need to teach physical computing. Even better? 1,000 U.S. K-12 public or charter school educators can apply to receive a free kit that contains all of the components needed to participate in this course. Apply for your free Raspberry Pi Pico kit and check out the course here.

This six-part course has all of the resources educators need to teach and engage their students in the classroom, including lesson plans, activity sheets, pedagogical approaches, streamable video lessons, and more. Teachers will learn physical computing using basic circuits, code a Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller to work with motors and LEDS, and design algorithms to navigate a rover through a maze. No previous programming experience is required to take this course, so all interested educators are encouraged to try it out today!
