To improve healthcare accessibility and affordability, the Foundation is leveraging technology-driven infrastructure like mobile clinics, telemedicine, and digital health tools to make eye-care accessible even in remote regions of India. Our efforts to improve maternal health, pregnancy care, and newborn well-being have resulted in significant reduction in maternal and infant mortality rates in rural areas, improving the overall health and well-being of these communities.
Taking healthcare to the last mile
Infosys Foundation, in partnership with KEM Hospital Research Centre, is making healthcare accessible by building sustainable maternal and child healthcare facilities in 64 tribal villages in Maharashtra. Navigating geographical and cultural challenges, the mobile health clinics, equipped with diagnostic tools and operated by doctors and trained personnel, are taking innovative healthcare to the remotest villages in India.
Strengthening maternal and baby care
Infosys Foundation’s support enabled Madras Medical College in Chennai transform the lives of pregnant ladies, mothers and newborn babies from the underserved communities. Operationalizing a new floor with state-of-the-art medical equipment, this project helped revolutionize maternal and neonatal care by making advanced life-care affordable for many.
Enhancing vision care in the Himalayas
In collaboration with Vivekananda Netralaya, Infosys Foundation is enhancing eye care for local communities by improving diagnostic services and outpatient care for women and elderly in remote villages. Through community outreach, eyecare camps and programs in villages and schools, this project focuses on raising awareness on eye hygiene and providing critical services in remote areas.
